Pai Mu Tan

Pai Mu Tan is a full flavour white tea, made with a leaf and a bud. The leaves are generally sun-dried for 1-3 days and then piled, for the oxidation process, for 1-3 hours. They are then packed carefully in order to avoid breaking the leaves. Although the processing steps are simpler than those for other teas, the long process and the variable factors during which are key cost factors. For example, a sudden rainstorm during the lengthy withering can be destructive.

While Pai Mu Tan is very much less expensive than the usual white tea prices, this particular one is an excellent quality, with lots of bud, and really very little in the way of dust and broken leaves.
